Why is Castile soap more watery than body wash?

Liquid Castile soap has a naturally fluid texture because of its simple, plant-oil-based formula. Unlike many conventional body washes, it does not rely on synthetic thickeners. Watery does not mean watered down — or less concentrated.

A little goes a long way: use it full strength or diluted. The lather is lighter too, and that's the same story — foam comes from added foaming agents, not from cleaning power.

Prefer more foam? Try diluting the soap in a foaming pump, 1 part soap to 2 parts water. Add the soap to the water, not the water to the soap, or you'll fill the bottle with foam while mixing.
